Baseball:   You will get to have Monical’s pizza, breadsticks, and a drink  from the IW Booster Club at lunch on Friday October 14 during your lunch hour for your BB pizza party.   No need to pack a lunch or eat school lunch that day!   
Boys’ Basketball: There will be one last open gym on Thursday October 13 at IWMS.   It will run  from 3:30 – 4:45 pm.   Players must have a physical on file in the office to participate.   Participation is optional. 
Cross Country:  No practice tonight.  Tomorrow:  IESA Sectional at St. Joseph.   The girls race is at 12:30 pm and the boys’ race is at 1:15 pm.  Bus time is 10:45 am from Onarga.   Good Luck Running Raiders! 
Cheerleading: No Practice today. 
Girls’ Basketball:   6th and 7th grade brought home big wins last night at Watseka, while the 8th grade lost by 1 point.    Practice from 4:00 -5:30 pm today.  Saturday:  No Practice.    Monday: 7th and 8th Grade Home Games Vs. Hoopeston Area at 5:30 pm.    6th/7th Graders Arrive by 4:45 pm.   8th Grade:  Arrive by 5:15 pm. 
Student Council:   Our Fall Food Drive will end TODAY!!  Hope you brought some items!    Bring some items for a great cause! Currently, Gorbett’s class is in the lead with 78 cans. Howe is in second with 75 and Snowden’s class is in third with 35 cans.  Who will end up on top? 
Popcorn fundraiser Tuesday, October 11th! Please support the student council by purchasing a bag of popcorn.

Restrooms by the Gym:  Due to continual improper use of the restroom and vandalism, the restrooms by the gym will be closed until further notice.  Any information that students can provide about the issues is highly appreciated.  The only restrooms available during school will be the ones by the library.   

Fact of the Day:  All newspapers in the British Library were ironed by hand to ensure a clear image before they were microfilmed.  That would have been a tedious job!!!
