Tuesday October 11

Baseball:   You will  have Monical’s pizza, breadsticks, and a drink  from the IW Booster Club during lunch on Friday October 14  for your baseball  pizza party.   No need to pack a lunch or eat school lunch that day!   
Boys’ Basketball: There will be one more open gym on Thursday October 13 at IWMS.   It will run  from 3:30 – 4:45 pm.   Players must have a physical on file in the office to participate.   Participation is optional.  Practice starts Oct. 17! 
Cross Country:  The Cross Country season came to an end on Saturday at St. Joseph.  Owen Borders finished in 17th place out of 104 and missed state by only place.   Congrats to all 9 runners on completing the season and to Owen Corbyn, and Kyler (our 8th graders) who ran in their last MS meet.  
Cheerleading:  Practice from 5:30-7:30 pm tonight.  (IWMS Gym) 
Girls’ Basketball:   The 7th Graders defeated Hoopeston 28-4 last night, while the 8th graders lost 34-19.    Tonight:  Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm.  (IWMS Gym) 
Student Council:   Canned Food Drive Results?
Popcorn fundraiser  due today (Tuesday, October 11th!)  Please support the student council by purchasing a bag of popcorn. 

Art Club:  Will continue for 8th grade today!    

Exploratory:   This morning we rotated and began new Exploratory classes.   This next rotation will run for 6 weeks. Make sure you are in the right place! 

Picture Retake:  Students, please remember that if you were absent for Picture Day or were not pleased with your cheese, picture retakes are Friday!!!  

Restrooms by the Gym:  Due to continual improper use of the restroom and vandalism, the restrooms by the gym will be closed until further notice.  Any information that students can provide about the issues is highly appreciated.  The only restrooms available during school will be the ones by the library.   

Raider Recipe Tally:  Students, please note that Friday signals the end of the 1st Quarter.  Make sure that you are checking your grades and checking your progress on the Raider Recipe.  Friday, October 21, we will host the 4th annual Raider Run for those students who qualify.  We hope to see you on the RUN!!!

Fact of the Day:  Bubble gum is pink because that was the only food dye available in the factory where it was made.

Lunch For Today:  Tuesday:  Beef nachos with Tostitos, lettuce, cheese, and salsa, refried beans, pineapple, fruit snacks, and milk

Wednesday: Hamburger on bun, sweet potato fries, pears, yogurt, and milk

Thursday: Chicken strips, lettuce, applesauce, dinner roll, cheese stick, and milk

Friday: Pulled pork on bun, coleslaw, oranges, cookie, and milk
