Fact of the Day: The Taj Mahal, in India, was built to be a tomb.  It took 1,000 elephants to build the mausoleum.  The foundation of the tomb is made of timber and there is a real fear that the Taj Mahal will collapse.  However, the builders countered this by constructing the tomb so that it will collapse outward, protecting the resting place of the Raja and his wife.  It is estimated that it took $827 million to construct the Taj Mahal.
