Announcements:  Thursday February 22, 2024      

Volleyball:   6th grade pictures after school tonight and then Red Vs. Blue Scrimmage from 4:30-5:10 pm.    7th and 8th Grade Home Games Vs. Cissna Park at 5:30 and 6:30 pm!  Good Luck Ladies! 

Wrestling: Practice from 4:00-6:00 pm tonight. 

Boys’ BB:    2 players left to turn in uniforms:   Aayden M & Israel M.  

Scholastic Bowl:   Practice today after school until 4:30 pm.   SATURDAY:  Practice from  8:30-10 am and there will be donuts.  First match is coming up February 27 at Home against Tri-Point! 

Baseball Sign-Ups:  Late sign ups (extra $20) will be accepted through February 25.  

Student Council: Through March 6th Student Council will be accepting donations to bring to Salt and Light. A list of approved and non approved items can be found on the student council bulletin board. 

Jostens Order (8th Grade):  Attention All 8th Graders:  Turn in your Jostens 2028 order forms into the main office by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd in the envelope with your cash / check.  All clothing items are adult sizes and in school colors.  This is a one time offer for these clothing items.  If you have questions, contact Troy Hall at troy.hall@jostens.com

GES Carnival:  The IW Carnival is on MARCH 1st. If you are helping to set up please come to the High School Gym at 4pm.  If you are helping with other activities (games, face painting, bingo, pop walk, bake sale) please arrive at 5:30pm. 

IWMS Campus Life:  Don’t forget that this meets every Monday, at the Garage, from 6:30 to 8PM.

Art Club:    7th grade will meet every Tuesday in February after school until 4:30pm, next one is TUESDAY Feb. 27 . Even if you haven’t been able to attend so far this year, you are welcome to join in this month.

Fact of the Day:  Besides Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin – who were the first two astronauts to leave their bootprints on the Moon — there were also Pete Conrad, Alan Bean, Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, David Scott, James Irwin, John Young, Charles Duke, Eugene Cernan, and Harrison Schmitt.  Therefore, a dozen people from Earth have walked on the moon.
