Announcements:  Tuesday February 20, 2024    

Volleyball:   Both the 7th and 8th grade lost to St. John’s last night.    Tonight:   Home Games Vs. Momence.   6th Grade Red Vs. 6th Grade Blue from 4:30-5:10 pm.   7th Grade:  5:30  8th Grade:  6:30 pm   The 8th grade team will be recognized after the first set of the 7th grade game for 8th grade night (around 5:45 pm) .    If you are going, be aware to wear pink and there will be a variety of raffles!!!  Good Luck, Lady Raiders!!!

Volleyball Student Fans:   Please remember, if you are failing any classes for 3rd Quarter, please don’t show up to attend our home volleyball games.  You must be passing all classes to attend.   Thank you!  

Wrestling: Practice from 4:00-6:00 pm tonight. 

Cheer:   Shelby:  please turn in your cheer uniform to Mr. Kimmel ASAP.  

Boys’ BB:  All players need to return washed uniforms, practice jerseys, and warm-ups to Coach Boyd or Coach Kimmel.   2 players left:   Aayden and Israel.  We need these ASAP! 

Scholastic Bowl:   This Week:  Practice on Tuesday and Wednesday from  3:30-4:30 pm.  First match is one week from today against Tri-Point! 

Baseball Sign-Ups:  Late sign ups (extra $20) will be accepted through February 25.  

Jostens Order (8th Grade):  Attentional All 8th Graders:  Turn in your Jostens 2028 order forms into the main office by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd in the envelope with your cash / check.  All clothing items are adult sizes and in school colors.  This is a one time offer for these clothing items.  If you have questions, contact Troy Hall at troy.hall@jostens.com

IWMS Campus Life:  Don’t forget that this meets every Monday, at the Garage, from 6:30 to 8PM.

Art Club:    7th grade will meet every Tuesday in February after school until 4:30pm, next one is TUESDAY Feb. 20 . Even if you haven’t been able to attend so far this year, you are welcome to join in this month. 

Fact of the Day:  A hat trick originally meant three goals in a row, with no intervening goals by either team. Hockey borrowed the term from Cricket. In 1858, a cricket player in England took three wickets with consecutive balls, an incredible trick. As a reward, his club gave the bowler a new hat, hence the term “hat trick.”
