Announcements: Friday February 9, 2024              

Volleyball:  The 7th and 8th grade teams both lost to St. Anne last night.    Tonight:  7th and 8th Grade Practice from 3:30-5:15 pm.   6th Grade:  OFF 

Wrestling: Practice from 4:00-6:00 pm. 

Boys’ BB:  All players need to return washed uniforms, practice jerseys, and warm-ups to Coach Boyd or Coach Kimmel.   We need these by the end of the week!  Thanks to all of you who have already turned them in! 

Cheer:   Your end of the season pizza party will be Monday February 12 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the multipurpose room.  Please bring your uniform to turn in that evening!

Scholastic Bowl:  

PE: Please bring your chromebooks to class today.

Student Council: Bring in pop tabs to support the Ronald McDonald house. We will accept tabs through Feb 9th. Winning class gets ice cream and this counts for one of  Raider Recipe goals for 3Q

Student council will be selling bundles you can send to your friends for Valentine’s Day. Each bundle will consist of a mini stuffed animal, a drink, and candy bar. They are $3. Please pick up an order form in the office. Forms are due Thursday, February 8th.

They are also selling during lunch tomorrow. $2 for candy, and $1 for pop. 

Permission slips for our Volunteer day are due Friday. They need to be turned in to Miss Cabera whether you plan to attend or not.   

IWMS Campus Life:  

Art Club:    7th grade will meet every Tuesday in February after school until 4:30pm, next one  is TUESDAY Feb. 13 . Even if you haven’t been able to attend so far this year, you are welcome to join in this month. 

Bowling Opportunity:  TOMORROW, February 10th from 4-6pm, any 6th-8th graders have an opportunity for free bowling, food, and prizes at the Lucky Lanes in Iroquois, IL.  Mr. Ehmen has fliers if you are interested!!!

Fact of the Day: The 49ers are appearing in their 8th Super Bowl while the Chiefs will be in their 6th on Sunday.  Both teams faced off in the big game in 2019 with the Chiefs securing the victory.  This is the 8th rematch in Super Bowl history.  Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the host of this year’s Big Game, finished construction in 2020, will hold 65,000 fans and cost $2 billion to complete.  The most expensive part was naming the stadium.  It cost $25 million for Allegiant airlines to allow their name to grace the stadium.
