Dress Up Week: Student Council is hosting a dress up week to celebrate entering the last month of school! Today, we celebrate Star Wars Day. Tomorrow it’s Crocs vs. tennis shoes! Wear your favorite pair of shoes to show which you prefer!
After School Supervision: Today in the lunchroom for track athletes that need to wait for the bus at 2:45 pm.
Youth Football: Registration is due by May 15th.
Homework Club & Jazz Band: The next HW Club and Jazz band sessions will be Tuesday, May 4th from 2:00-3:00pm!
Band/Choir: As a reminder, our Spring Concert will be this Thursday at 7:00pm. Students are expected to be at the concert to perform. Dress is white shirt, black pants, and black shoes. Students may bring 2 spectators to watch the concert in person. The concert will be streamed live on the music department Facebook page. Any questions, please speak to Mr.Thomason or Mrs.Pendry.
Fact of the Day: May the 4th be with you as I read some facts about Star Wars: Yoda’s species has never been named…remain a mystery it does. The amount of Yoda’s toes changes throughout the saga. In the Phantom Menace he has 3, and others he has 4. ET makes a cameo appearance in the Phantom Menace. The Ewok language is a combination of Nepalese and Tibetan. The actor, David Lynch, who was in the suit for Darth Vader was not aware that his voice was overdubbed with that of actor James Earl Jones until the original screening of the film, A New Hope. Chewbacca’s voice is a mix of bears, walruses, lions, and badgers. The lightsaber noise was made by combining the hum of an old television set and the buzz of a film projector’s motor.
