Dress Up Week: Student Council is hosting a dress up week to celebrate entering the last month of school! It’s all about competition. Today is football vs. baseball. Tomorrow we celebrate Star Wars Day with Originals vs. Prequels vs. Sequels. Do you prefer Jar Jar Binks or Baby Yoda? Darth Vader or Kylo Ren? Dress up and show us tomorrow!
After School Supervision: Today in the lunchroom for track athletes that need to wait for the bus at 2:45 pm.
Youth Football: Registration is due by May 15th.
Homework Club & Jazz Band: The next HW Club and Jazz band sessions will be Tuesday, May 4th from 2:00-3:00pm!
Band/Choir: As a reminder, our Spring Concert will be this Thursday at 7:00pm. Students are expected to be at the concert to perform. Dress is white shirt, black pants, and black shoes. Students may bring 2 spectators to watch the concert in person. The concert will be streamed live on the music department Facebook page. Any questions, please speak to Mr.Thomason or Mrs.Pendry.
Fact of the Day: The NFL was founded on August 20, 1920. Jim Thorpe and “Papa Bear” George Halas were the men responsible for acquiring the necessary investors to get the league going. Contrary to that, you would have to go back to 1869 when, officially, Major League Baseball began. The original MLB teams of that era were the Boston Red Stockings (now the Atlanta Braves), the Chicago Whitestockings (now the Cubs), the Cincinnati Red Stockings, the Hartford Darkblues, the Louisville Grays, Mutual of New York, the Philadelphia Athletics, and the St. Louis Brown Stockings…there was something afoot with stockings!?!?!?
