Band: Middle school jazz band will start the week of March 8th. Jazz band will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from after school until 3:00pm in the band room. Please sign up on the sign up sheet in the band room.
Fact of the Day: Since today is Beef Tator Bake, here are some little known facts about Tater Tots. Tater Tots debuted in 1952 thanks to the company Ore-Ida, named after the two states known for exporting a lot of potatoes, Oregon and Idaho. The company reused old French Fries by dicing them up and molding them into convenient pellets. The name Tator Tot entered officially into the lexicon and the dictionary in 1954. However, the name Tater Tot is trademarked so other companies, beware of litigation if using that name. Lastly, the Idaho government officially thanked the producers of the movie, Napoleon Dynamite, for paying homage to the Tater Tot and the state of Idaho in their movie. After the movie, Tator Tot consumption soared and Ore-Ida stated that the movie put their product officially on the map.
