Fact of the Day: Today is Groundhog’s Day. The first gathering of awaiting the groundhog, named Punksatawney Phil, was held in 1887. Legend has it that if the groundhog emerges from his hovel and sees his shadow, 6 more weeks of winter we will endure. If the groundhog does not see his shadow, it is the sign of an early spring. Unfortunately, in the 134 years that Phil has been prognosticating, he has a success rate of 40% accuracy.
