Hispanic Heritage Month: The Social Studies department will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by decorating the bulletin board in the main hallway. If you want to be featured on the bulletin board, please bring a family picture that displays your Hispanic heritage! You can bring your picture to your Social Studies teacher.

Fact of the Day: The fire hydrant patent was lost in a fire. Fredrick Graff’s initial design patent was destroyed when the clerk’s office burned in 1836. 100 years later, George Sigelakis, due to the fire, was able to reinvent the hydrant because the one that Graff had initially invented was faulty. It’s a good thing it went up in smoke!!!
