Student Council:  The first Student Council Meeting will be on Friday, September 11.

Boys’ Baseball: There is a home game today Vs. Watseka starting at 4:00 pm.  Good luck Raiders!

Cross Country:     Friday:  No Practice!

Drill Day: Students, today we will practice our annual drills.  These drills are practiced to keep us safe in the event of an emergency.  Please listen to your teachers, cooperate during the drills, and stay focused.  Due to COVID, we will only do a Storm Drill, a Fire Drill, and a Bus Evacuation drill.  The intruder drill will not be practiced, today, due to social distancing.  1st Period, the teachers will go over procedures with you.  Feel free to ask any questions.  Again, thank you for your cooperation with these drills today!!!

Hispanic Heritage Month: The Social Studies department will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by decorating the bulletin board in the main hallway. If you want to be featured on the bulletin board, please bring a family picture that displays your Hispanic heritage! You can bring your picture to your Social Studies teacher.

Fact of the Day: Even if you went to the moon, you would still have to practice your emergency drills.  The moon is subject to “moon quakes.”  The US Geological Survey states that these quakes take place because of stress put on the moon due to a combination of gravitational pull and tidal stresses put forth on the moon by the earth.  Looks like even the moon is not a stress free place.

Happy Birthday: Happy birthday tomorrow to Chase Ritzma and Jerica Gorgol on Saturday!!!
