5th Hour:  Today you will receive a paper that needs to be returned back to our schools.  The School / Parent / Student Compact needs to be signed by you and one of your parents/guardians.  Along with the compact, you will also receive a note, providing an explanation of the form, from our Superintendent Mr. Lekkas.  Again, please get that signed and returned by Wednesday, September 2.  Thanks for your cooperation!!!

Student Council:  The first Student Council Meeting will be on Friday, September 11.  If you are interested in participating in Student Council, please fill out the application and return to Mrs. Sawinski.  

Boys’ Baseball:  No practice today for the Raiders.  Your next game will be Tuesday against Donovan here in Onarga with the first pitch set for 4:30.  


Cross Country:   We hope you enjoyed your first meet of the year.   Your next practice will be on Monday from 4:15-5:15 at the HS!    

Fact of the Day: The hottest spot in the world is not Iroquois County.  It is actually Libya, located in northern Africa and on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.  The hottest temperature ever recorded was in Libya at 136 degrees in 1922.  Also, in terms of averages, Libya wins in that category as well, since it is an arid land in the middle of the Sahara Desert.
