Volleyball: The 8th grade Lady Raiders will travel to Hoopeston for their regional tournament tomorrow.  Match time is 10AM and the bus will leave IWMS at 8:45. Best of Luck, Lady Raiders!!! Pizza party for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams will be on Wednesday, March 11 at 5:30 pm in the IWMS Cafeteria. 

Wrestling:  Best of luck to the wrestlers who have advanced to Sectionals.  We wish you the best!!!

Scholastic Bowl: Congrats to both Varsity and JV for defeating Donovan yesterday! Dean Clendennon answered 6 toss ups correctly, followed behind with Nolan Manzke and Joel Arichega answering 4 toss ups each! Keep studying over the weekend and be ready for practice on MONDAY! We have our next match on Tuesday. 

Track: For those students who plan to participate in track, please have your contract and survey turned in to Coach Thiele or Mr. Boyd by Thursday March 5. Practice Monday after school.

Student Council: Thanks for a productive meeting this morning! Please remember to turn in your templates to Mrs. Sawinski by Tuesday, March 10.

Spring Dance:  On Friday, March 13, we will host the Spring Dance here at IWMS.  The doors will open at 6:30pm and the cost for admission will be $5.00.  We will also have concessions available. The dance will last until 8:30pm.  Please note: If you have a library fine that is due, you need to have that paid in order to be able to attend the dance.  Thank you!!!

IWES Carnival:  The IWES Carnival is Friday March 13 from 6:00-8:00pm.  If you would like to help run a game or face paint, please pick up a volunteer form from Ms. Sawinski.  Volunteer forms need to be turned in as soon as possible. 

Freshman Shoe Drive:  The IW Freshman class is conducting a shoe collection drive from March 1 to April 30.  Simply donate worn, used or new shoes. You can leave your donation in the box in the main office here at IWMS.   

Art Club: 6th grade art club will meet next Wednesday until 4:30pm.

Homework Club:  Continues Tuesday in Mrs. Carley’s Room.

8th grade D.C. trip: The final payment for the 2020 trip is due Wednesday, March 18. We still have spots available! It’s not too late to sign up. If you have any questions, please contact Miss Reynolds.

Wacky Laws:  In New York, it is illegal to congregate in public with two or more people while wearing a masks.   One may be jailed for wearing a hat while dancing, or even for wearing a hat to a function where dancing is taking place.
