Announcements: Tuesday March 19, 2024           

Volleyball:  Both Pizza parties are coming up!   6th Grade:  TOMORROW   7th & 8th Grades:  Thursday March 21.  Both will run from 5:15 – 6:00 pm.   All uniforms need to be turned before or at the party! 

HS GOLF MEETING:   Thursday March 21 there will be a meeting for any 8th grader who is interested in playing HS golf.  This meeting will be from 8:25-8:50 am in the upper gym bleachers with our HS golf coaches!

Track:   Practice Tonight from 3:30-5:00 pm.     

3Q Raider Recipe:  The March Madness Event will take place in the gym on Friday March 22 during PE classes.   Students will be notified at lunch TODAY  if they qualified or not.  Teachers will be emailed a list as well.   

Class Wars:  There were three class wars during 3rd Quarter (Jan SOM, Feb SOM, and the Pop Tab Challenge)  7th grade took first with 11 points, 6th grade took second with 9 points, and 8th grade was third with 7 points.   Each class will earn Locker Rocker points based on these standings. 

Perfect Attendance and Honor Roll:   Congratulations to 30 IWMS Students who achieved perfect attendance for 3rd Quarter!   Also, great job  to all of our Straight A, High Honor, and Honor Roll students.   New lists will be going up in the hallways today!   

Scholastic Bowl:   Home matches tonight against St. Pauls’ (Woodworth) at 4:00 pm. 

IWMS Campus Life:  Don’t forget that Campus Life meets again TUESDAY APRIL 2  at the Garage from 6:30 to 8PM.

Art Club:    6th grade Art Club will meet again on TUES MARCH  19  in Mrs. Sattler’s room!

Student Council:  Student Council is hosting a March Madness Bracket Challenge. You should have received an email from Mr. Kimmel this morning about filling out a bracket. Please complete it by Thursday at 11 am. There will be prizes for winners!

Fact of the Day:  In 1978, the NCAA began using the term “Final Four” officially; the name was soon trademarked.  The 1979 championship game between Larry Bird’s Indiana State and Magic Johnson’s Michigan State attracted the most-ever television viewers.  UCLA has won the most championships (11; 10 of those came in a 12-year run from 1964 to 1975, including seven in a row from 1967 to 1973). Kentucky is next with eight titles, followed by North Carolina (6), Duke and Indiana (5).
