Announcements:  Monday February 26, 2024      

Volleyball:   The 7th grade season came to an end on Saturday at Manteno.  Thank you to all 14 players who participated this season!       Tonight:  8th grade practice from 3:30-5:15 pm. 

Wrestling: Congratulations to the Nash/IW wrestling team on being IESA Regional Co-Champions at Pontiac on Saturday!  Jayden Rodriguez (1st place at 90 lbs), Owen Robinson (2nd place at 119 lbs) and Grant Frisbie (2nd place at 155 lbs) all ADVANCED to this Saturday’s Sectional Meet!   Congrats guys!    Tonight: Practice from 4:00-6:00 pm tonight for Sectional Qualifiers and wrestling partners. 

Boys’ BB:    The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade pizza party sponsored by the IW Booster Club will be Wednesday Feb. 28 from 3:30-4:30 pm in the lunchroom.  Players will stay after school.   All uniforms have now been turned in!  Thanks! 

Scholastic Bowl:   Monday: Practice 3:30-4:30  Tuesday:Home Match Vs. Tri-Point at 4:00 pm in the Library!  Participants will stay after school and should report to Mrs. Wagner’s room by 3:30. 

Student Council: Through March 6th Student Council will be accepting donations to bring to Salt and Light. A list of approved and non approved items can be found on the student council bulletin board. 

PE: Bring your chromebooks to class this week.

GES Carnival:  The IW Carnival is on MARCH 1st. If you are helping to set up please come to the High School Gym at 4pm.  If you are helping with other activities (games, face painting, bingo, pop walk, bake sale) please arrive at 5:30pm. 

IWMS Campus Life:  Don’t forget that this meets TONIGHT at the Garage, from 6:30 to 8PM.

Art Club:    7th grade will meet every Tuesday in February after school until 4:30pm, next one is TOMORROW Feb. 27 . Even if you haven’t been able to attend so far this year, you are welcome to join in this month. 6th grade starts in March.

Fact of the Day:  How much wire does it take to make a Slinky?  Today’s Slinky has approx 65 feet of wire if you would be able to stretch it all out and ruin the Slinky.  *Note when the Original Slinky came out in 1945 it contained 80 feet of wire*

Lunch for Today:  Mini corn dogs, peas, peaches, yogurt, variety of chips, and milk

Tuesday: Hamburger or cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, applesauce, pickles, and milk

Wednesday: Spaghetti, broccoli, pineapple, garlic bread, cheese stick, and milk

Thursday: Hot ham and cheese on a bun, cold carrots, pears, sugar cookie snacks, and milk

Friday: Cheese pizza, lettuce, oranges, double chocolate cookie, and milk
