Announcements:  April 18, 2023                              

Track:  On Saturday at Bishop McNamara the7th and 8th Grade Boys along with the 7th Grade Girls all placed second out of 8 teams.  The 8th Grade Girls brought home 3rd place.  Tonight: Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm at Nexus Track. 
Football:  Weight Lifting will continue tonight from 3:30-5:00 and continue on  M, T, W, and Thursdays each week.   You can ride the 8th Grade Gilman Bus to the HS each night if you plan to play football and want to attend these sessions.  (8th Graders Only) 
Scholastic Bowl:  Varsity and JV matches tonight at Milford 4:00 pm.  Bus time is 3:00 pm and participants will be dismissed from 5th hour at 2:50 pm.  
Cheerleading:  There was a meeting this morning  during Exploratory for 6th and 7th graders interested in basketball cheerleading for next season.   If you missed the meeting or were absent, see Mr. Kimmel for the information packet.

Chess Club:  Coming Up Next:  WEDNESDAY April 26  from 3:30-4:30 pm.  There is NO CLUB this week due to the 2 hour early out on Wednesday April 19!

Fact of the Day:  There are two types of eagles that are directly protected by federal law:  Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles.  They are protected under the Eagle Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.  Eagles may not be kept as pets and can only be housed in federal sanctuaries.  Did you know that it is also illegal to possess or sell eagle feathers in the United States.
