Announcements:  April 11, 2023                              

Track:  Practice today at Nexus Track from 3:30-5:00 pm.  
 Last week we received official team results and the 7th Grade Boys brought home 1st place in the Giant Invite and at Nash!  The 7th Grade Girls placed 3rd at the Giant Invite.  Congrats!   Also, Congrats to Phylicity Leonard who broke the 7th grade girls shot put record with a throw of 28 1.5 inches on Thursday at Watseka.  She broke the previous record set by Jasmine Elliott in 2011 by one inch!   
Football:  8th Graders:  There will be a meeting with Coach Hamilton on Friday April 14 from 8:30-8:50 am during Exploratory.  Report to the lunch room at that time if you are considering playing high school football next year.  
Scholastic Bowl:  Iroquois County Tournament tonight at IWMS starting at 4:00 pm.  Good Luck Raiders! All students competing or helping should be in Mrs. Wagner’s room by 3:30. 
Student Council: Pie in the face fundraiser: Last Day to bring in Pop tabs is TOMORROW!  Wednesday, April 12th!

Fact of the Day:   How many bees does it take to make a tablespoon of honey?  A hive of bees must fly 55,000 miles to produce a pound of honey. One bee colony can produce 60 to 100 pounds of honey per year. An average worker bee makes only about 1/12 teaspoon of honey in its lifetime.
