Announcements:  March 15,  2023                                  

Girls’ Volleyball:  If you forgot to turn in your uniform, please get these to Coach Milkowski as soon as possible!    
Student Council:   You should have received an email on Monday about the March Madness bracket challenge.  Student council members please turn in your pastry order forms ASAP! They will not be accepted after Wednesday! Pie in the face fundraiser: Bring in pop tabs to put toward the teacher and student you would like to see get pied! Teacher choices: Mr. Ehmen, Mrs. Pankey, Ms. Gorbett, Mr. Walder, or Ms. Milkowski. Student choices: Drew Talbert, Trenton Read, or Wes Connor. Please specify who your pop tabs will go towards when you drop them off. Event will go until April 10th.  
Track:   Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm tonight at IWMS. THROWERS AND DISTANCE RUNNERS ONLY.     Please have your parents register you on 8to18.  There are still many that need to do this! 
Scholastic Bowl: Home matches tonight Vs. PBL at 4:00 pm. Good Luck!

Art Club:     6th grade will meet again, Tuesday March 28,  after we return from Spring Break. 

March Madness:  The 3rd Quarter Raider Recipe event will take place on Friday March 17 during PE classes.   It will be a March Madness themed event.   You will find out TODAY AT LUNCH  (March 14) if you qualify!   Please finish strong this week so you can attend this event!  

4th Quarter Raider Recipe Qualifications:   Incentive will be an Ice Cream Truck Visit in Late May!   

1.  Keep your Chromebook charged daily.  (If you have to use more than 1 free charge , you miss this qualification.  2.  Earn 3 or less tardies.  3.  No detentions or suspensions.  4.  Earn grades of C’s or above.  5.  No more than 3 absences.

Chess Club:  NEXT MEETING TONIGHT  from 3:30-4:30 pm.  Also, the chess club continues.  Mr. Snowden is setting up an online club.  Stop by Mr. Snowden’s room to set up an account and get login information.  

Fact of the Day:   Mike Krzyzewski holds the record with 13 Final Four appearances. Coach K’s run lasted more than 30 years, with Duke making its first Final Four in 1986 and his last was in 2022.  Duke center Christian Laettner started for the Blue Devils in four straight Final Fours and won two national championships. Laettner played in 23 out of 24 possible NCAA Tournament games during his career and won 21 of them. Both are records.

Homework Club:  Tuesdays & Thursdays after school until 4:00 pm in Ms. Gorbett’s room!   Come check it out!
