Announcements:  January 25

Boys’ Basketball:  Practice tonight from 5:15-6:45 pm.   There is VB practice after school so please don’t arrive earlier than 5:00 pm.  6th/7th Grade Teams:  Please return washed uniforms and practice jerseys to Coach Kimmel ASAP!  
Cheerleading:  None
Wrestling:  Practice tonight at Nash Middle School from 4-6 pm.  
Girls’ Volleyball:   The 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade teams all lost to St. John’s in two sets last night.   Tonight:  7th and 8th Grade Practice from 3:30-5:00 pm.     
Student Council:  Pennies for pizza will continue until Feb 8th. The grade that brings in the most amount of money ( over $50) will receive pizza. For every dollar you bring in, a chain will be hung in your hallway to show your progress. Money raised will go to benefit the students. 
Scholastic Bowl:  Wednesday Scholastic Bowl practice is canceled tonight. Practice will be held in Mrs. Wagner’s room Thursday at 3:30 and also Friday at 3:30. If you are interested in joining yet, there is still time! Come see Mrs. Wagner or show up at a practice. New team members are welcome until Feb. 1st.   

HS SOCCER MEETING:  There will be a meeting with Coach Alvarez in the mult-purpose room on Friday at 8:30 am for 8th graders interested in playing HS Soccer next year.   Please plan to attend if you are interested!  

Art Club:   8th grade will meet again Tuesday January 31. 

Locker Rocker TripThe 1st Semester Locker Rocker Bowling trip will be Friday January 27.  Students that qualified need to return your permission slips and $10 ASAP.    Deadline is Thursday!   We need this!

Chess Club:  Please be advised that Chess Club will be after-school on Wednesday evenings.  Students will meet after school till 4:30.  First chess club meeting is tomorrow after school till 4:30 in Mr. Snowden’s room.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Snowden.

Fact of the Day:  Here are some fast facts about snow.  Every snowflake contains either dust or pollen (think twice before consuming).  All snowflakes have 6 sides or arms.  Every snowflake is different. Snow is not white; it’s translucent.  It takes about one hour for a snowflake to fall from cloud to ground.  

Homework Club:  Tuesdays & Thursdays we will host a Homework club from after school to 4PM.  This will be hosted in Ms. Gorbett’s room.
