Fact of the Day: Holly is an evergreen that was thought by the ancient Druids to be holy. For almost two decades, the state of Delaware dedicated most of its economy to the growing of holly for handmade, natural wreaths. In 1949, the substance of plastic was formulated and the majority of natural wreaths were replaced by synthetic, plastic wreaths.
