Pledge of Allegiance / Moment of Silence

Softball:    The Lady Raiders will play at Gridley this afternoon Vs. El-Paso.   Game time is 4:15 pm and the bus will leave at 2:30 pm.   Players will be dismissed at 2:20 pm to go change for the game.  Good Luck!   
Baseball:    The boys lost to Ridgeview in the varsity game, but defeated the Mustangs in the extra innings game.   Tonight:  We play Bishop McNamara’s 7th grade team at 4:30 pm in Onarga.   Please get dressed and head straight to the field after school.  
Cross Country:    Practice tonight  from 4:00-5:00 pm at IWHS.  
Cheerleading:  Practice tonight from 3:30-5:30 pm at IWMS.  (Gym) 
Girls’ Basketball:   There will be a sign-up sheet in the lunchroom today for girls who are interested in playing.  Practice for non-softball players will start on Sept. 6 and practice for softball players will begin on Sept. 8.   You must have a current physical on file in the office in order to participate.  
Student Council: If you are interested in joining student council there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 23rd at 7:30 am (or when buses arrive) in Miss Cabrera’s room. 

School Pictures:   School pictures will be taken on TuesdaySeptember 6.   Picture forms will be distributed this week.  

Happy Birthday:  Happy Birthday today to Ben Finckbone!!!  

Fact of the DayJust in case you were wondering, the word “lawn mullet” does exist in the dictionary of slang.  The word is defined as having a neatly manicured front lawn while your backyard is overgrown & out of control.  Who knew???

Tuesday – Sloppy Joe on Bun, Corn, Pineapple, Yogurt, & Milk

Wednesday – Hot Dog on Bun, Baked Beans, Applesauce, Ruffles Potato Chips, & Milk

Thursday – Beef Tater Bake, Carrots, Pears, Fruit Snacks, Dinner Roll, & Milk

Friday – Walking Tacos with Doritos, Refried Beans, Oranges, & Milk

Music Schedule:  Thursday and Friday:  All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band students will meet.
