Scholastic Bowl:   Parent Night is tonight at 5 pm! Invite your parents and wear your scholastic bowl shirts. 

Duct Tape a Teacher: Your Social Studies teachers have collection boxes with Mr. Ehmen’s and Mr. Lustfelt’s names on them. Who do you want to get duct taped to a wall? Donate money to the box with that staff members name on it. Whichever box collects the most money, that teacher will get duct taped!

After School Supervision:   Supervision will be in the lunchroom today for any Track Athletes that need to stay until your practice time.           

Youth Football:  Registration is due by May 15th. 

Homework Club & Jazz Band:   NO Homework Club during IAR Testing.  Our next HW Club will be Tuesday, May 4th from 2:00-3:00pm in Mrs. Carley’s room.  Jazz Band will meet today from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.  

Math Team: The annual Iroquois County Math  Competition will be held tomorrow, Friday, in Cissna Park. Congratulations to the 4 8th grade gentlemen who will be representing Iroquois West this year: David Perez, Cauan Haase, Rylan Pheifer, and Larkin Copas, Good Luck Raiders!

IAR Testing Week:  Please note that the schedule gets a little funky today.  When announcements are finished, please report to 2nd Hour.  At 10:10, we will go to 3rd Hour.  From there, I will dismiss for lunches when they are scheduled.  You will not have 1st hour today.  Today begins ELA testing.  Make sure that you are to your scheduled ELA classes promptly.  Thanks for all your hard work this week!!!

Fact of the Day:   Bubble wrap was intended to be sold as wallpaper.  Bubble wrap was introduced in 1957 as a way to decorate your home.  IBM was looking for a way to safely ship their computers and in 1960, began bubble wrapping their computers for shipping.  This is where bubble wrap found its true purpose!!!
