Pennies for Patients: Today, the Student Council Officers will be hairspraying mine and a few other teacher’s hair blue. If our school reaches the $1000 mark, the class with the highest amount raised will receive an Olive Garden lunch! At this point, it looks like it’ll be Mr. Torbeck and his Advisory!

Locker Rocker Reward:    6th and 7th Grade students that qualified for today’s Locker Rocker trip can report to the area outside of the gym after 1st hour attendance has been taken.  Please bring your coat, hats, and gloves for the walk to the theatre. Students that didn’t qualify will have a regular schedule today.

8th Grade Students that qualified for the Locker Rocker trip will report to the lunchroom at 11:15 to eat an early lunch.  You will then walk up to the theatre around 11:40 am.   Please bring your coats, hats, and gloves when you come to eat lunch.   Students that didn’t qualify will have a regular schedule today.

Band: Band students, please take your instruments and music home this weekend!

Sports:  Girls’ Volleyball practice will begin this Saturday morning from 10:00 am to Noon.   Boys’ Basketball practice will begin on Saturday morning from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.   Cheerleading practice will begin on Monday from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.  These sports are now considered to be “in season” and attending practice is no longer optional.

Just like we did for contact days, athletes need to have a current physical on file in the office and have your parents sign a COVID participation waiver in order to participate.   If you didn’t attend contact days, but plan to play one of these sports, see Mr. Kimmel today or tomorrow so he can give you the paperwork that you will need in order to attend practice.   Athletic eligibility will be checked next Friday, so work hard in the classroom to keep your grades up!

Homework Club:   Homework club next week on Tuesday & Thursday from 2:00-3:00 pm in Mrs. Carley’s room!

Fact of the Day:  Last night, at 9:21pm, it was the 21st minute of the 21st hour on the 21st day of the 21st year in the 21st century…I would call that a super dooper black jack and with the 2020 we endured, where do I cash out???
