Cross Country:     Please turn in your uniforms to Mr. Kimmel before the end of the week!    

Athletics:   Beginning the week of November 2, there will be “optional” contact days for boys basketball, girls basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading. Each sport will have two contact days/practices per week.   Sign-Ups are now up on the red bulletin board in the 7th grade hallway if you plan to participate in any of these sports.  6th graders may attend contact days, but your participation on the 7th/8th grade teams will depend on the number of participants.   

 In order to attend the contact days you will need…..

  1.  a current physical on file in the MS office, 
  2.  a consent form filled out by your parents 
  3. To be academically eligible (passing all 5 core subjects).

Student Council: If you are interested in decorating the halls for Red Ribbon Week, please sign up in Google Classroom.

Bully Prevention Month: October is Bully Prevention month! If you are interested in winning a $20 Target gift card, you can enter an essay contest. Read the flyers around the school or ask Mrs. Sawinski for details!

G.O.D’s Food Pantry Contest: Raiders, all next week we will host a Food Bank donation drive.  All the food collected will go to G.O.D’s Food Pantry.  For the class that collects the most food, they will receive 5 points towards the class war tally on the Locker Rocker.  Bring in canned goods or household supplies to add to your bin.  Again, the bin with the most items will be deemed the winner on Friday, October 24th at 12:30PM!!!  Good Luck to your class!!!

1st Quarter EndingPlease remember that the 1st quarter ends today!  Today is the last day to turn in late or missing work!!!  Also check the hallway posters to see if you are on pace to attend the Raider Run on October 30!   

Friday Night Hangout at the Garage-This Friday October 16 from 6-8 PM for 6th, 7th and 8th grade at the Garage in Gilman!   Please call or text to pre register with  Bev at 708-921-6304.  Space is limited.  Come on out for some great fun!
