Volleyball:  The Lady Raiders will participate in their last match of the regular season this evening.  Again, due to conflict, these matches will take place in Gilman. There will be a 4:30 6th grade scrimmage and the other matches will begin at 5:30.  Tonight is also 8th grade night so let’s wish the Lady Raiders well!!!

Track and Field:  Please note that there will be an informational meeting today in the library with Coach Boyd and Coach Thiele if you are interested in participating.  After announcements, lunch count, and attendance, you may proceed to the library if interested.    

Student Council: This week, the Student Council wants YOU guys to vote. Who should get pie’d in the assembly TOMORROW? Ms. Powell… Mr. Boyd… or me? Right now Boyd is taking the lead with Powell RIGHT behind him! 

HS Soccer Sign-Ups:  If you are interested in joining the HS Soccer team in the summer, there is a sign up sheet on the office door.  If you sign up, please also grab the packets that are in the office that provide information.  

3 on 3 Tournament:  If you are interested in forming a team for the Onarga Academy Classic 3 on 3 basketball tournament, sign up forms are down in the information center.  The Onarga Academy Classic will be held on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.   

Art Club: 6th grade art club will meet next Wednesday until 4:30pm.

Homework Club:  Continues tonight in Mrs. Carley’s Room.

PE: Please bring your chromebook to class today.

STEM Competition:  This April, Iroquois West Middle School will be participating in the 4th Annual I-KAN STEAM Challenge.  4-person teams will be challenged to cooperate, think creatively, and use problem-solving skills to answer questions in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.  If you are interested in learning more, go see your science teacher and he will hand you an information and permission form. The deadline for registration is TODAY!!!

7th grade D.C. trip parent meeting on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 pm in the IWMS library. If you have any questions, please contact Miss Reynolds.

Fact of the Day:   The extinct language of the Ubykh (Ah-buck) people, which was once spoken in the Caucasus Mountain region up until 1992, holds the record for the most consonants in a language:  83 consonants and only 2 vowels.
