Boys’ Basketball:   7th Grade Raiders, though you were not victorious last night in the Regional semis, you have nothing to hang your head about this season.  Thanks for your conference and county championships and we wish you the best as you transition to your off-season. Also, thanks for your hard work, sweat, and determination over these past few months.  Remember, champions are made in the off-season.  

Math Contest: This Saturday, February 1, at Olivet Nazarene University, we will have 4 8th grade students competing at the annual Mathcounts competition. They are Collin Tilstra, Ella Rhodes, Madison McTaggart, and Gannon Schnurr. Please congratulate them and wish them luck! 

Pennies for Patients: This is our last week collecting money for Pennies for Patients. Get those pennies in, cause every cent adds up!

Scholastic Bowl: Practice tomorrow after school!

Student Council: Order forms for the StuCo t-shirt are in Mrs. Sawinski’s room, and they are due this Friday on January 31! 

Chess Club:    Due to conflicts with other Middle School activities, Chess Club will be cancelling February meetings and will begin on March 2nd.  If you are interested in joining up, there is information available in the office, along with an updated permission form. Make sure to return your permission form to Mr. Torbeck so that he can plan for your attendance.

Art Club: 8th grade art club meets TODAY after school until 4:30pm.

Homework Club:  Continues tomorrow in Mrs. Carley’s Room.

Mark your calendars—-the IWES Carnival will be FRIDAY, MARCH 13 at the Gilman Elementary building from 6:00 to 8:00 pm! Seeking volunteers to help, more info to come!

Fact of the Day:  On this day, in 1995, the San Francisco 49er’s became the first franchise in NFL history to win 5 Super Bowl championships.  Hmmmmm….
