Track & Field:    Practice after school today.   Practice will end between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. depending on what events you practice.

Scholastic Bowl: Next practice will be tomorrow, after school, until 4:30pm.

High School STEM Fair:  IWHS is hosting a Transition, STEM, Career Fair Night on April 2nd, from 6:30-8:00pm in the high school gym. Students in grades 7th and 8th grade and their parents are invited to attend this Open House. Please stop by the high school to learn about career opportunities in this area.  If your parents have questions, please have them call the high school.

Step Up Night:  All 8th graders are encouraged to attend the Freshman Student and Parent Step-Up Night with a parent.  This will be hosted in the high school gym on Thursday, April 11. Step Up Night will run from 6PM to 7:30PM.  Again, all 8th graders should try to attend this event to get information about high school next year.

Standardized Testing:  In seven days, we will begin state testing.  Please make sure that you have earbuds here for you use on that test.  Testing begins April 8.   

Homework Club:  No HW Club this week

Help at Carnival:  The IWES Carnival is this Friday from 6-8pm at the Elementary School in Gilman.  If you signed up to work, please report to the carnival shop table at 5:30pm for your volunteer assignment.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Carley.

Library Fines:  Remember, if you have a library fine, you need to pay that fine immediately!!!   

Fact of the Day:  Since today is Opening Day in the MLB, here are some facts about Opening Day:  William Taft was the first president to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the MLB.  Jimmy Carter was the only president who did not get this honor. There has only been one no-hitter in Opening Day history. Cleveland pitcher Bob Feller, then just 21 years old, threw it against the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park on April 16, 1940.
