Girls’ Basketball: The Ladies will participate in the first round of the Twin County Tournament in Gibson City on Saturday. The 7th grade Lady Raiders will take on Cissna Park at GCMS High School. Tip off is scheduled for 11:30am. The 8th grade Lady Raiders will take on Cissna Park at 12:45pm at the middle school in Gibson City.

Fact of the Day: On this day in history, in 1781, Lord Cornwallis surrendered his position in Yorktown, Virginia officially putting an end to fighting during the American Revolution. Lord Cornwallis was too proud to surrender his sword to Gen. George Washington, so he sent a subordinate general to do so. This surrender is marked as the end of the American Revolution.
