Students reminder, don’t forget you need to fill out the 1st Quarter student survey. It was sent to your emails yesterday.

Rifle Club sign-ups are due Friday October 7th. The mandatory Parent and Student Meetings will be Tuesday October 18th and Wednesday, October 19th at 6 pm in the cafeteria or multi-purpose room. You and your parent, or guardian, must attend one of the parent meetings or contact Coach Miller or Coach Peters.

All NHS members including new inductees, there will be a mandatory meeting Thursday during homeroom in the cafeteria. Please check in with your homeroom teacher first. 

For the month of October, we will be sharing helpful attendance tips and attendance statistics to help promote more regular attendance!

In the month of September, 58 students had 3 or more absences – of those, 21 students had two or more unexcused absences.  

Chronic absenteeism is defined as staying away from school or work without good reason.

Missing one day of school is missing 6 ½ hours of class.  When you  miss one day of school, think about the 6 ½ hours of make-up work that will be required outside of class.  What would you rather be doing after school?

Soccer will be released at 3:15 today for their home game to get dressed and get field ready.

Three members of the Iroquois West boys golf team participated in the IHSA golf sectional at Turtle Run golf course in Danville on 10/3. The IW boys did not qualify to advance to the state tournament. Kyler Meents scored an 88, Tyler Read 88, and Kamden Kimmel 92. We would like to congratulate Kyler, Tyler, and Kamden in their successful seasons this year. 

Adelynn Scharp of the Iroquois West golf team participated in the IHSA sectional at Edgebrook golf course in Sandwich On 10/3. Adelynn achieved a score of 110 but was unable to advance to the state tournament. We would like to congratulate Adelynn on a successful golf season this year.
