Chromebook Issues

4th Grade Parents/Guardians:
If you are experience issues with your child’s chromebook and are getting an error message please follow the instructions below. Thank you!

You do not need to do this if your student’s Chromebook is connecting to the internet. If your student’s Chromebook displays a message about your connection not being private or the cipafilter authenticator asks for a username and password do the following:

1. Open the Chrome browser and click on the cipafilter authenticator icon in the upper right and then the settings button.
2. Click the delete button next to any credentials already entered.
3. Click the add credentials button at the bottom of the same window.
4. Enter the correct username and password. The username is first initial then last name followed by grad year. For example a 5th grader with the name Bob Jones would be bjones27. The password also corresponds with grad year. The password for 5th graders is Redblue27 and 4th graders Redblue28. Both have capital R’s.
5. Click the save button and then click the cipafilter authenticator icon in the upper right again. This time click “reauth” to test the username. If it was entered correctly the icon will have a green “ok” on it and web pages will load normally.
