Fact of the Day:  Here are some delightful facts about light:  Light travels at 186,000 miles per second.  If light is shone through a diamond, it slows down, due to the diamonds denseness, to 77,000 miles per second.  Eyeglasses can correct vision because light changes speed when it passes from air to glass, causing the light to bend and attain more focus.  Bioluminescence is the largest source of light in the ocean.  Over 90% of all creatures that live below 1500 feet, produce their own natural light source to live and function.  The word photography means “writing with light.”
