Scholastic Bowl: Practice Tuesday after school. If you ordered a polo make sure you bring your money. Our first match is Wednesday Feb 26th!

Student Council: Student Council is selling pizza today! If you still need to grab your tickets from Mrs. Sawinski, make sure you do so before lunch! Also, Student Council and girl’s Volleyball teamed up to make cookies. Cookies will be sold for $0.50 at lunch! 

IW Youth Baseball / Softball:  There are forms down in the information center for Spring baseball/softball sign-ups.  6th-8th Graders will play in the Majors level. If you are interested, please grab a form.  

HS Soccer Sign-Ups:  If you are interested in joining the HS Soccer team in the summer, there is a sign up sheet on the office door.  If you sign up, please also grab the packets that are in the office that provide information.  

3 on 3 Tournament:  If you are interested in forming a team for the Onarga Academy Classic 3 on 3 basketball tournament, sign up forms are down in the information center.  The Onarga Academy Classic will be held on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.   

Art Club: 7th grade art club will meet next Wednesday until 4:30pm.

Homework Club:  Continues tonight in Mrs. Carley’s Room.

STEM Competition:  This April, Iroquois West Middle School will be participating in the 4th Annual I-KAN STEAM Challenge.  4-person teams will be challenged to cooperate, think creatively, and use problem-solving skills to answer questions in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.  If you are interested in learning more, go see your science teacher and he will hand you an information and permission form. The deadline for registration is February 27th. You have 1 week!

Random Act of Kindness Week: In the spirit of Random Act of Kindness Week, you have all been documenting the kind acts that other students have done for you. We collected all the entries and have a winner from our random drawing. Congrats to Cauan Haase for helping your friends get better at basketball for next season! See Mrs. Sawinski for your prize!

Wacky Laws:  In Indiana, no one may catch a fish with his/her bare hands.  In Kentucky, one may not dye a duckling blue and offer it for sale unless more than six are for sale at once.  And Louisiana, it is a $500 fine to instruct a pizza delivery man to deliver a pizza to your friend without them knowing.
