Boys’ Basketball:   Best of luck to the Raiders as they travel to Hoopeston to take on Hoopeston in the semi-final round of the 8th grade Regional.  Tip off is set for 7:15pm. Your bus time is 5:00pm. Beat the Corn Jerkers, Raiders!!!

Math Contest: Congrats to the 8th grade Mathcounts team for placing 3rd Saturday at the Olivet competition. They were Madison McTaggart, Ella Rhodes, Collin Tilstra, and Gannon Schnurr. Individually, 2 Raiders placed in the top ten: Gannon placed 5th and Ella placed 9th.

This Wednesday, Feb. 5 the 8th grade Math team will be competing at the Momence Math Competition with a bus time of 2:30. The Mathletes are: Gannon Schnurr, Dean Clendenen, Damian Alvarado, Elliot Martineaz, Madison McTaggart, Jackie Pina, Ella Rhodes, Jorge Garcia, Francisco Sandoval, and Collin Tilstra. 

Scholastic Bowl: No practice at all this week. We will meet next Tuesday. 

Student Council: Our next meeting is this Friday, February 7! 

Cheerleading:   The bus leaves at 5:00 for the game tonight. 

IW Youth Baseball / Softball:  There are forms down in the information center for Spring baseball sign-ups.  6th-8th Graders will play in the Majors level. If you are interested, please grab a form.  

Middle School Hangout/Dance:  Hosted Saturday, February 15 at Garage Youth Center in Gilman.  The time is 7:15-9:15pm and the cost of admission is $5. There will be concessions of pizza, drinks, cookies, and candy.

Art Club: 7th grade art club will meet next Wednesday until 4:30pm.

Homework Club:  Continues tomorrow in Mrs. Carley’s Room.

Mark your calendars—-the IWES Carnival will be FRIDAY, MARCH 13 at the Gilman Elementary building from 6:00 to 8:00 pm! Seeking volunteers to help, more info to come!

Fact of the Day:  So the Kansas City Chiefs were able to again overcome a deficit and take the win at Super Bowl 54.  I hope that you all enjoyed the game and especially, the DIP!!! I know that I did!!! So, here is the recording that we were able to make, in the wee hours, as we pay tribute to the Kansas City Chiefs…thanks to Mr. Stone for all the drumming, Mr. Boyd can play a mean trumpet and Ms. Powell slayed the Tuba!!!
