Boys’ Basketball:  The Raiders will take on the Raiders of Tri-Point this evening.  Tip off is set for 5:30.  

Volleyball:  The Lady Raiders will travel to Piper City this afternoon to take on the Raiders of Tri-Point.  Bus is 335 and there will be a 6th grade scrimmage at 430. Good luck Lady Raiders.

Wrestling:  Practice after school today. 

Locker Rocker: For those that qualified for the Locker Rocker, we need all money and permission slips in.  Also, please note that we will release around 9am. Teachers, do not release until we call.

Pennies for Patients: We’re a week into our fundraiser, and Mrs. Meyers’ Advisory is in the lead with $55.40! Will they be the class to win the Olive Garden lunch? We’ll see, because this week we are teaming up against cancer! If you would like to wear your favorite sports jersey this Friday, make sure you pay $1 to your Advisory teacher. Your dollar contribution will go toward the fundraiser. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but every cent adds up!

Scholastic Bowl: Practice today after school!

Student Council: If you haven’t filled out the Feedback form in Google Classroom, make sure you do that as soon as possible! Your input is important for planning future events!

Concession Workers:  Attention Students:  If you would like to help with concession stand, please talk to Mrs. Sawinski.  If you help, you will be able to get a Raider Give-Back form to go towards your Raider Reward.  Again, see Mrs. Sawinski. 

Youth Basketball: Forms for Youth Basketball (any 6th grader) are due on Friday, January 24 to the office.  

Cheerleading: Arrive by 5:00 for the game tonight. 

Chess Club:    Chess Club will begin February 3rd and will run on Mondays and Wednesdays for 2 weeks in February and for 3 weeks in March.  If you are interested in learning more about Chess Club, information and permission forms are located in the office, along with a Sign-Up Sheet on the office door.  Permission forms are due by January 30th and may be given to Mr. Torbeck.

Art Club: 8th grade art club meets Wednesday (tomorrow) until 4:30pm.

Homework Club:  Continues Today in Mrs. Carley’s Room.

Mark your calendars—-the IWES Carnival will be FRIDAY, MARCH 13 at the Gilman Elementary building from 6:00 to 8:00 pm! Seeking volunteers to help, more info to come!

Fact of the Day:  It is estimated that Earth’s helium supplies will run out in 25 years.  Enjoy your party balloons while you can!!!
