Girls’ Volleyball: Tryouts will take place today.  

Boys’ Basketball:  The Raiders will travel to Woodworth to play the Hawks of Crescent City tonight.  The bus will leave at 4:40 pm. Best of Luck, Raiders!

Cheerleading: No practice today.  

Wrestling: Meet today.  

Scholastic Bowl:  Any students interested in signing up for the Scholastic Bowl team must sign up on the main office door and pick up a schedule before winter break. Please look it over with your parents to see if this is something you would like to commit to and please ask Ms. Karner any questions.

Free Event for Latina Students after winter break – The event will include free meals and speakers who are successful Latina business people. The event will take place at a college in the Chicago area, transportation provided.  

Ms. Alvarado and Mr. Lustfeldt are available right now for more details during Advisory (Ms. Alvarado’s room).  You can also try to talk to Ms. Alvarado during exploratory/lunchtime. See her in the office.  SPACE is limited to a few students so you need to GET A FORM TODAY!

Tuesday- 8th grade bring your Chromebooks to the gym

Wednesday- ALL students will need to bring their Chromebooks to class.

Thursday- Regular PE

Student Council: Don’t forget…Student council is holding a Toys for Tots toy drive this December. If you have a new or gently used toy, bring all donations to Ms. Karner in room 338. Let’s spread some Christmas cheer to those in need!!!

Movie:  Don’t forget to turn in your $5.00 to see Napoleon Dynamite Friday.  All money needs to be in ASAP!!!

Library Fines:  Remember, if you have a library fine, you need to pay that fine immediately!!!

Christmas Facts:  Christmas trees were first decorated with fruits (mainly apples), and then later on people started using candles, and then electric lights (1895) to decorate these trees. Japanese spend their Christmas Eve eating in KFCs. This is a popular tradition in Japan so much that customers have to book their seats 2 months in advance.
