Baseball: The Raiders will face off against the Bobcats of Donovan today after school at 4:30pm. If you can go and offer them your support, get out there and cheer on the Raiders!!! Good luck today, boys!!!
Girls’ Basketball: Practice today after school at 3:45 and will run to 5:30pm. The Girls first home game is next Tuesday, September 11 at 5:30 PM. The IW Booster Club will be selling activity passes and apparel at the game.
Picture Day: Picture day will be September 11.
Spirit Week: This week, we will offer dress up days in honor of Homecoming. The theme this year is the Sounds of Music. Here are the days where you can participate:
Tuesday 9/11 – Jazz Day!: Wear jazzy apparel…fedoras, sunglasses, ties…sort of a Blues Bros vibe. It’s also picture day so wear something you can take off and put back on…that would be helpful.
Wednesday 9/12 – Rock Day (Wear your favorite band Tshirt, put on some eyeliner, wear studded belts/bracelets, combats boots, spike your hair…whatever you feel will be great!)
Thursday 9/13 – Country Day! : You can wear your cowboy hats, boots, handkerchiefs around your necks, fringed vests, etc.
Friday 9/14 – Raider Rowdy Day!: Support your Raiders by wearing school pride colors and apparel and get out to the parade and the football game later on that evening.
Campus Life: Campus Life Starts next Monday 6:30-8 at the Garage Youth Center in Gilman.
Fact of the Day: Last night hosted the meeting of the biggest rivalry in the NFL between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. The two teams have met each other 197 times (including 2 postseason games), with the Chicago Bears winning 94 games and the Green Bay Packers winning 97 games. They have also tied 6 times.
